About the AislePrompt Test Kitchen & Editorial Team
Every recipe published on AislePrompt is developed by the AislePrompt Test Kitchen and reviewed by AislePrompt Editorial before it appears in the catalog. This page describes how that process works and who is responsible for it.
AislePrompt Test Kitchen
Recipe development & testing
The Test Kitchen develops, tests, and photographs every recipe in the AislePrompt catalog. Our standard development cycle is two cook-throughs per recipe — the first for ingredient calibration (ratios, substitutions, equipment notes) and a second for timing, doneness cues, and nutrition verification. Photos are shot under natural light against a neutral surface; we publish the photo from the second cook-through, never a stock image.
The Test Kitchen also maintains the ingredient master list — every ingredient in every recipe is mapped to a UPC or generic name we know Instacart's retailer catalogs share, so the "Order on Instacart" handoff produces the brand the recipe was tested with.
AislePrompt Editorial
Nutrition & dietary-claim review
Editorial reviews every recipe for nutrition accuracy and dietary-claim integrity before publication. When a recipe is tagged with a structured diet (keto, paleo, Whole30, low-sodium, anti-inflammatory, etc.), Editorial verifies that the ingredient list and macro targets actually meet that diet's published rules. We follow FDA and USDA labeling conventions for all "low-fat", "low-sodium", "high-protein", and "sugar-free" claims.
For YMYL-adjacent recipes (anti-inflammatory, migraine-friendly, heart-healthy, blood-sugar-friendly), Editorial flags any health claim that goes beyond what published nutrition science supports. Recipes that can't be substantiated either lose the claim from the headline or don't ship.
Editorial standards
- Every recipe is cooked at least twice before publication.
- Nutrition values are calculated from USDA FoodData Central, not estimated.
- Health-related claims are reviewed against current peer-reviewed nutrition guidance.
- Substitutions are tested, not assumed.
- Photographs show the actual cooked recipe, not stock imagery.
