Ingredients
- 4 medium, peeled and sliced 1/4-inch thick Granny Smith apples
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup, cold and cubed unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- pinch salt
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F. In a medium bowl, toss 4 cups sliced apples with 1 tbsp lemon juice and 1/2 tsp cinnamon until evenly coated.
- Step 2: In a separate bowl, combine 1/2 cup rolled oats, 1/4 cup all-purpose flour, 2 tbsp sugar, and a pinch of salt. Cut in 1/4 cup cold butter using a pastry cutter until the mixture forms coarse crumbs.
- Step 3: Transfer apple mixture to a 9x13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle oat topping evenly over apples. Bake for 40-45 minutes until apples are tender and topping is golden brown.
