  2. Step 2: In a rocks glass, add 2 oz bourbon, 1/2 oz basil simple syrup, and 2 dashes Angostura bitters. Stir gently for 30 seconds until fully integrated.
  3. Step 3: Express the oils from a 1-inch strip of orange peel by twisting it over the drink until fragrant, then drop the peel into the glass as a garnish.
