- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp dried culinary lavender
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup (cold, cubed) unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large bowl, toss 4 cups blackberries, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons cornstarch, and 1 teaspoon dried culinary lavender. Transfer to a 9-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
- Step 2: In a medium bowl, combine 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup rolled oats, 1/4 cup brown sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Add 1/4 cup cold cubed unsalted butter and use a pastry cutter to blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
