Char-Grilled Oysters with Garlic Butter

Ingredients
- 12 fresh oysters
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cloves, minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons, finely chopped fresh cilantro
- 1, cut into wedges lime
- 1/4 teaspoon lemon pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Place the 12 fresh oysters in their shells on the grill, hinge side down to keep them closed.
- Step 2: Melt the 4 tablespoons unsalted butter in a small saucepan over medium heat, then add 2 minced garlic cloves and cook for 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
- Step 3: Grill the oysters for 5-7 minutes until the shells have opened slightly and edges are crisp, then remove from heat.
- Step 4: Stir 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro and 1/4 teaspoon lemon pepper into the garlic butter.
- Step 5: Spoon the garlic butter mixture over each oyster and serve immediately with lime wedges for squeezing.
