Cinnamon-Spiced Sazerac

Ingredients
- 2 oz rye whiskey
- 1/4 oz absinthe
- 1/2 oz simple syrup
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1/2 inch cinnamon stick
- 1 twist lemon twist
Instructions
- Step 1: Rinse a chilled coupe glass with 1/4 oz absinthe, then discard any excess absinthe.
- Step 2: In a mixing glass, combine 1/2 oz simple syrup and 2 dashes Angostura bitters, then add a 1/2 inch cinnamon stick.
- Step 3: Muddle for 10 seconds until the cinnamon releases its oils and becomes fragrant.
- Step 4: Add 2 oz rye whiskey and a handful of ice to the mixing glass.
- Step 5: Stir for 25 seconds until the drink is well-chilled and the ingredients are fully blended.
- Step 6: Strain into the prepared glass and garnish with a lemon twist.
