Cranberry and Orange Spiced Punch

  1. Step 1: In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup fresh cranberries, 2 cups orange juice, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, 1 cinnamon stick, and 3 whole cloves. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes until cranberries burst.
  2. Step 2: Remove from heat, let cool for 5 minutes, then strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher, pressing solids to extract liquid. Discard solids.
  3. Step 3: Stir in 1/2 cup apple cider and 4 cups chilled sparkling water. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to chill.
  4. Step 4: Serve over ice cubes in chilled glasses.
