Dried Fig and Pecan Compote

Ingredients
- 1 cup, chopped dried figs
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup, chopped pecans
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- pinch salt
Instructions
- Step 1: In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup chopped dried figs, 1/2 cup water, and 1/4 cup honey. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, then reduce heat to low and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the figs are tender and the liquid has thickened.
- Step 2: Stir in 1/4 cup chopped pecans, 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Cook for 2 more minutes until heated through.
- Step 3: Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Serve warm or at room temperature.
