Ginger-Peach Spiced Punch

  1. Step 1: In a saucepan, combine 2 cups chopped fresh peaches, 2 tablespoons grated fresh ginger, 1/4 cup honey, 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice, and 2 cups water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 10 minutes until peaches are tender.
  2. Step 2: Remove from heat and stir in 1/4 teaspoon hot chili flakes. Let cool to room temperature.
  3. Step 3: Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher, pressing with a spoon to extract all liquid and discarding solids.
  4. Step 4: Add 4 cups sparkling water to the pitcher and stir gently.
  5. Step 5: Chill the punch in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  6. Step 6: Before serving, add 2 cups ice cubes and stir gently.
  7. Step 7: Pour into glasses and garnish each with 1 fresh peach slice.
