Herbed Tomato and Basil Tart

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cold butter
- 3 tbsp ice water
- 4 medium ripe tomatoes
- 1/4 cup fresh basil
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: Make crust: Pulse flour and salt in a food processor. Add cold butter cubes and pulse until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add ice water and pulse until dough holds together when pinched. Form into a disk, wrap in plastic, and chill for 30 minutes.
- Step 2: Roll chilled dough into a 12-inch circle. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet, trim edges, and prick bottom with a fork. Bake at 375°F for 15 minutes until golden.
- Step 3: Thinly slice tomatoes and arrange overlapping on crust. Scatter minced garlic and chopped basil over tomatoes. Drizzle with olive oil, then season with salt and black pepper. Bake at 375°F for 18-20 minutes until tomatoes are bubbly and edges are golden.
