Homestyle Buttermilk Pancakes with Maple Syrup

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 large eggs
- 2 tbsp, melted unsalted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
Instructions
- Step 1: Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until combined.
- Step 2: Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir gently with a spatula until just combined—do not overmix.
- Step 3: Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat (325°F). Lightly grease with butter or oil.
- Step 4: Pour 1/4 cup batter per pancake onto the skillet. Cook until bubbles form on top and edges look set, about 2 minutes.
- Step 5: Flip and cook for 1-2 more minutes until golden brown. Repeat with remaining batter.
- Step 6: Serve warm with 1/4 cup maple syrup per serving.
