Honey-Glazed Poached Pears

Ingredients
- 4 ripe, halved pears
- 2 cups water
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Step 1: Place 4 halved pears, cut-side down, in a medium saucepan. Add 2 cups water, 1/4 cup honey, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1 cinnamon stick, and 1 tbsp lemon juice.
- Step 2: Bring to a gentle simmer over medium-low heat. Cover and cook for 15-18 minutes until pears are tender when pierced with a fork.
- Step 3: Remove pears from saucepan with a slotted spoon, leaving the liquid. Simmer the liquid uncovered for 8-10 minutes until reduced to a light syrup.
- Step 4: Pour the syrup over the pears and serve warm or chilled.
