Honey-Glazed Poached Pears

  1. Step 1: Place 4 halved pears, cut-side down, in a medium saucepan. Add 2 cups water, 1/4 cup honey, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1 cinnamon stick, and 1 tbsp lemon juice.
  2. Step 2: Bring to a gentle simmer over medium-low heat. Cover and cook for 15-18 minutes until pears are tender when pierced with a fork.
  3. Step 3: Remove pears from saucepan with a slotted spoon, leaving the liquid. Simmer the liquid uncovered for 8-10 minutes until reduced to a light syrup.
  4. Step 4: Pour the syrup over the pears and serve warm or chilled.
