Individual Apple Crumbles with Oat Topping

Ingredients
- 4 medium (Granny Smith), peeled, cored, and sliced apples
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick), cold and cubed unsalted butter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease six 6-ounce ramekins.
- Step 2: Toss sliced apples with 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg, and 1 tablespoon cornstarch in a bowl.
- Step 3: Divide apple mixture evenly among prepared ramekins.
- Step 4: In a separate bowl, combine 1/2 cup rolled oats, 1/4 cup all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup packed brown sugar, 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
- Step 5: Add 1/4 cup cold cubed butter to dry ingredients. Use a pastry cutter to work butter into mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Step 6: Sprinkle oat topping evenly over apples in each ramekin.
