Mango Basil Rum Muddle

Ingredients
- 2 oz Dark rum
- 1/4 cup Fresh mango, diced
- 5 Fresh basil leaves
- 1/2 oz Simple syrup
Instructions
- Step 1: In a cocktail shaker, muddle 1/4 cup diced mango and 5 fresh basil leaves with 1/2 oz simple syrup until the mango is broken down and basil is fragrant.
- Step 2: Add 2 oz dark rum and fill the shaker with ice cubes to the brim.
- Step 3: Shake vigorously for 15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosty.
- Step 4: Strain into a chilled rocks glass filled with fresh ice cubes.
- Step 5: Garnish with a thin mango slice resting on the rim and a single basil leaf.
