Maple-Glazed Apple Crisp with Oat Topping

- 4 medium, peeled and sliced 1/4-inch thick apples
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 4 tbsp, cold and cubed unsalted butter
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F. Toss 4 sliced apples with 3 tbsp maple syrup, 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon, and 2 tbsp flour until coated; transfer to a 9x9-inch baking dish.
- Step 2: In a bowl, combine 1 cup old-fashioned oats, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract. Cut in 4 tbsp cold cubed butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Step 3: Sprinkle oat mixture evenly over apples. Bake 35-40 minutes until apples are bubbly around the edges and topping is golden brown.
- Step 4: Let cool 15 minutes before serving to allow filling to set. Drizzle with additional maple syrup if desired.
