- 2 cups water
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/4 cup walnuts
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon

Instructions
- Step 1: In a saucepan, combine 1 cup steel-cut oats, 2 cups water, 1/4 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp cinnamon. Bring to a gentle boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until oats are creamy.
- Step 2: Stir 2 tbsp maple syrup into the cooked oats while they're still hot. Remove from heat and let rest for 2 minutes to thicken.
- Step 3: Toast 1/4 cup walnuts in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until fragrant and lightly golden, stirring constantly. Spoon oatmeal into bowls and top with toasted walnuts.
