One-Pan Garlic Butter Shrimp with Lemon

  1. Step 1: Pat 1 lb shrimp dry with paper towels, then season with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper.
  2. Step 2: Heat 1 tbsp olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque, then remove and set aside.
  3. Step 3: In the same skillet, add remaining 2 tbsp butter, 4 minced garlic cloves, and 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (if using). Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Step 4: Stir in 2 tbsp lemon juice and 1 tbsp lemon zest, then return shrimp to skillet. Toss to coat and cook for 1 minute more.
  5. Step 5: Remove from heat, stir in 2 tbsp fresh parsley, and serve immediately over steamed rice.
