One-Pan Garlic Butter Shrimp with Lemon

Ingredients
- 1 lb, peeled and deveined shrimp
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves, minced garlic
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp lemon zest
- 2 tbsp, chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 tsp (optional) red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Step 1: Pat 1 lb shrimp dry with paper towels, then season with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper.
- Step 2: Heat 1 tbsp olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque, then remove and set aside.
- Step 3: In the same skillet, add remaining 2 tbsp butter, 4 minced garlic cloves, and 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (if using). Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Step 4: Stir in 2 tbsp lemon juice and 1 tbsp lemon zest, then return shrimp to skillet. Toss to coat and cook for 1 minute more.
- Step 5: Remove from heat, stir in 2 tbsp fresh parsley, and serve immediately over steamed rice.
