One-Pot Chocolate Hazelnut Mousse with Fresh Berries

Ingredients
- 4 oz, chopped dark chocolate
- 1/4 cup, toasted and finely ground hazelnuts
- 1 cup, cold heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup, such as strawberries or raspberries fresh berries
Instructions
- Step 1: Place 4 oz chopped dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water (double boiler), stirring until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Step 2: In a separate bowl, whip 1 cup cold heavy cream with 1/4 cup powdered sugar and 1 tsp vanilla extract until soft peaks form. Gently fold in the melted chocolate and 1/4 cup toasted ground hazelnuts until fully incorporated.
- Step 3: Spoon the mousse into serving glasses or bowls. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours until set.
- Step 4: Just before serving, top each serving with 1/4 cup fresh berries and a sprinkle of additional ground hazelnuts.
