Pan-Seared Bass with Lemon and Thyme

Ingredients
- 2 (6 oz) bass fillets
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lemon
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: Pat the bass fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with 1/4 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper.
- Step 2: Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Step 3: Place the bass fillets in the skillet and cook for 4 minutes without moving, until golden brown.
- Step 4: Flip the fillets and add 2 lemon slices and 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves to the skillet.
- Step 5: Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
