Pan-Seared Chicken Thighs with Garlic Lemon Butter
Crispy-skinned chicken thighs finished in a rich garlic-lemon butter sauce for a simple weeknight dinner.

Ingredients
- 4 bone-in, skin-on Chicken thighs
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Black pepper
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 3, minced Garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 1/2, juiced and zested Lemon
- 1 tsp, chopped Fresh thyme
Instructions
- Step 1: Pat 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs dry and season evenly with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper.
- Step 2: Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Step 3: Place chicken skin-side down in skillet and cook undisturbed for 10-12 minutes until skin is golden brown and crispy.
- Step 4: Flip thighs and cook 5-7 minutes more until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Step 5: Remove chicken and set aside. Add 3 minced garlic cloves to skillet and cook 1 minute until fragrant.
- Step 6: Stir in 2 tbsp butter, 1/2 lemon juice, 1/2 lemon zest, and 1 tsp chopped fresh thyme, cooking until butter melts and sauce thickens slightly.
- Step 7: Return chicken to skillet, spooning sauce over top, and cook 1 minute to reheat.
