Pan-Seared Garlic Shrimp with Asparagus

Ingredients
- 12 oz, peeled and deveined shrimp
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves, minced garlic
- 1/4 cup juice lemon
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 bunch, trimmed asparagus
- to taste salt
- to taste black pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: Pat 12 ounces shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt and black pepper.
- Step 2: Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 12 ounces shrimp and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
- Step 3: Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside. Add 4 minced garlic cloves and 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes to the skillet, stirring for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Step 4: Add 1 bunch trimmed asparagus to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender-crisp. Return shrimp to skillet, add 1/4 cup lemon juice, and stir to combine. Cook for 1 minute to heat through.
