Pan-Seared Lemon-Dill Chicken with Garlic

  1. Step 1: Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels; season both sides with 1 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp black pepper.
  2. Step 2: Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add chicken breasts and cook undisturbed for 5 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Step 3: Flip chicken, add 2 minced garlic cloves and 1 tbsp lemon zest to the skillet, and cook for 4-5 minutes until chicken reaches 165°F internally and garlic is fragrant.
  4. Step 4: Remove chicken from skillet; pour 2 tbsp lemon juice and 2 tbsp chopped dill into the pan, stirring to deglaze. Simmer for 1 minute until slightly thickened.
  5. Step 5: Return chicken to skillet, spoon sauce over top, and cook for 1 minute to coat. Garnish with remaining dill.
