Pan-Seared Lemon-Garlic Chicken Thighs with Asparagus

Ingredients
- 1 lb, skin-on, bone-in chicken thighs
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4, minced garlic cloves
- 1, zested and juiced lemon
- 1 bunch (12 oz), trimmed asparagus
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season evenly with salt and pepper.
- Step 2: Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken skin-side down for 8-10 minutes until golden, then flip and cook 5 minutes more.
- Step 3: Remove chicken and set aside. Add asparagus to skillet with 1 tbsp olive oil, cooking 5-7 minutes until bright green and crisp-tender.
- Step 4: Return chicken to skillet. Add minced garlic, lemon zest, and juice, stirring constantly for 1 minute until fragrant. Cook 2 more minutes until sauce reduces slightly.
