- 4 bone-in, 1 inch thick (6 oz each) pork chops
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves, minced garlic
- 1 tsp fresh thyme
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: Pat pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper.
- Step 2: Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Step 3: Add pork chops and sear for 4 minutes per side until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 145°F.
- Step 4: Reduce heat to medium, add 2 tbsp butter, 3 minced garlic cloves, and 1 tsp fresh thyme. Spoon butter mixture over chops for 1 minute.
- Step 5: Remove chops to a plate and let rest for 5 minutes before serving with the pan sauce.
