Pan-Seared Ribeye with Rosemary-Garlic Butter

Ingredients
- 12 oz Ribeye steak
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 tbsp Unsalted butter
- 1 tsp finely chopped Fresh rosemary
- 2 cloves minced Garlic
- 1/2 tsp Kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp Black pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: Pat the steak dry with paper towels and season evenly with 1/2 tsp kosher salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper on both sides.
- Step 2: Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering, then add the steak and sear for 3 minutes without moving to form a golden crust.
- Step 3: Flip the steak and sear for another 3 minutes for medium-rare, then transfer to a plate and tent loosely with foil to rest for 5 minutes.
- Step 4: While the steak rests, melt 2 tbsp unsalted butter in the skillet over medium heat, add 2 minced garlic cloves and 1 tsp chopped rosemary, and cook for 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
- Step 5: Pour the garlic-rosemary butter over the rested steak and serve immediately.
