Pan-Seared Salmon with Lemon and Avocado

  1. Step 1: Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels, then season both sides with 1/4 tsp salt and 1/8 tsp black pepper.
  2. Step 2: Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering (about 1 minute).
  3. Step 3: Place salmon skin-side down in skillet, pressing gently with a spatula for 30 seconds to prevent curling. Cook undisturbed for 6-7 minutes until skin is crisp and golden.
  4. Step 4: Flip salmon, add 1 tbsp lemon juice and 2 lemon slices to pan, cook for 2 more minutes until salmon is opaque at center.
  5. Step 5: Transfer salmon to a plate, top with 1 sliced avocado and 2 tbsp chopped dill, squeezing extra lemon juice over the top.
