Pan-Seared Sockeye Salmon with Lemon and Fresh Dill

Ingredients
- 24 oz Sockeye salmon fillets
- 1 Lemon
- 2 tbsp Fresh dill
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Black pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: Pat the 24 oz sockeye salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season evenly with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper.
- Step 2: Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering, about 1 minute.
- Step 3: Place salmon skin-side down in the skillet and cook for 4 minutes without moving until skin is golden and crispy.
- Step 4: Flip salmon, add 2 minced garlic cloves, and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Step 5: Squeeze juice from 1/2 lemon over salmon and sprinkle with 1 tbsp lemon zest from the whole lemon.
- Step 6: Transfer skillet to a preheated 400°F oven and bake for 5-7 minutes until salmon flakes easily.
- Step 7: Remove from oven, discard lemon zest, and sprinkle with 2 tbsp chopped fresh dill.
