Rosewater-Infused Lemon Bars

Ingredients
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 2 tbsp Lemon zest
- 1/4 cup Lemon juice
- 1/2 cup Powdered sugar
- 1/4 tsp Rosewater
- 1 Egg
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F. In a food processor, pulse 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup cold cubed butter, and 1/4 cup sugar until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press into the bottom of a lined 8x8 inch baking pan and bake for 15 minutes until golden.
- Step 2: While crust bakes, whisk together 2 tablespoons lemon zest, 1/4 cup lemon juice, 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 1/4 teaspoon rosewater, and 1 lightly beaten egg in a medium bowl until smooth.
- Step 3: Pour the lemon filling over the warm crust and bake for 20-25 minutes until the filling is set and edges are golden. Let cool completely in the pan, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into squares.
