Sautéed Garlic and Lemon Pasta

Ingredients
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 4 cloves, minced garlic
- 1, zest and juice lemon
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 2 tbsp, chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
- to taste salt
- 1/2 cup reserved pasta water
Instructions
- Step 1: Bring a large pot of well-salted water to a rolling boil. Add 12 oz spaghetti and cook for 8-10 minutes until al dente, then drain, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water.
- Step 2: Heat 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 4 minced garlic cloves and 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes, sautéing for 1 minute until fragrant and golden but not browned.
- Step 3: Add drained spaghetti to skillet with 1/2 cup reserved pasta water, 1 tsp lemon zest, 1 tbsp lemon juice, and 2 tbsp chopped parsley. Toss vigorously for 1 minute until sauce clings to pasta and thickens slightly.
- Step 4: Season with salt to taste, then serve immediately with additional lemon zest for garnish.
