Sautéed Garlic Pasta with Lemon Zest
Tender spaghetti coated in a simple sauce of garlic, lemon, and olive oil, finished with fresh herbs.

Ingredients
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves, minced garlic
- 1, zested lemon
- 2 tbsp, chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup pasta water
Instructions
- Step 1: Bring 4 quarts of salted water to a rolling boil in a large pot. Add 12 oz spaghetti and cook for 8-10 minutes until al dente, then drain, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water.
- Step 2: Heat 3 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 4 minced garlic cloves and cook for 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
- Step 3: Stir in 1 lemon zest and 2 tbsp chopped parsley, then add the drained pasta and 1/2 cup reserved pasta water. Toss for 2 minutes until the sauce coats the strands and thickens.
- Step 4: Season with 1 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper, then serve immediately.
