Simple Tomato and Mozzarella Pizza with Herbs

- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 4 ounces, sliced mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup, torn fresh basil
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat.
- Step 2: Roll pizza dough on a floured surface to a 12-inch circle. Transfer to a pizza peel dusted with cornmeal or directly onto the preheated baking sheet.
- Step 3: Spread marinara sauce evenly over dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border. Sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, and 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano.
- Step 4: Arrange sliced mozzarella over sauce, then top with torn basil. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon olive oil and bake for 12-15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
