Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons za'atar spice blend
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup yogurt
- 2 cloves, minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Step 1: Whisk 2 cups all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons za'atar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 cup olive oil in a large bowl until a shaggy dough forms.
- Step 2: Knead dough on a floured surface for 3 minutes until smooth, then cover and rest for 20 minutes.
- Step 3: Divide dough into 8 equal pieces, roll each into a 6-inch circle about 1/4-inch thick on a lightly floured surface.
- Step 4: Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C) with a baking sheet inside. Place flatbreads on hot baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
- Step 5: While flatbreads bake, mix 1 cup yogurt, 2 minced garlic cloves, and 1 teaspoon lemon juice in a small bowl. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
