Beef and Potato Baked Casserole

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 cup cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 tsp dried rosemary

Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a skillet over medium heat, cook 1 lb ground beef, 1 medium onion finely chopped, and 2 cloves garlic minced until beef is browned and onion is translucent, about 8 minutes; drain excess fat and season with salt and pepper.
- Step 2: In a bowl, mix 4 cups mashed potatoes, 1/2 cup milk, and 1/4 cup butter until smooth. Stir in 1 tsp dried rosemary and season with salt and pepper.
- Step 3: Spread half of the mashed potato mixture (2 cups) in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Top with the cooked beef mixture, then cover with the remaining mashed potatoes (2 cups).
- Step 4: Sprinkle 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and edges are golden.
