Ingredients
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- to taste salt
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley
Instructions
- Step 1: Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add 12 oz spaghetti and cook for 8-10 minutes until al dente, then drain and reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
- Step 2: Heat 3 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 4 thinly sliced garlic cloves and 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes, sautéing for 2-3 minutes until garlic is golden and fragrant, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
- Step 3: Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, then pour in 2 tbsp reserved pasta water. Toss vigorously for 1 minute until the sauce coats every strand, adding more reserved pasta water if needed to achieve a creamy consistency.
- Step 4: Season with salt to taste. Garnish with 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley before serving.
