Ingredients
- 3 lb, trimmed of excess fat pork shoulder
- 1/4 cup yellow mustard
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1, chopped onion
- 2, sliced carrots
- 2 stalks, sliced celery
Instructions
- Step 1: Place trimmed pork shoulder in slow cooker and season with yellow mustard, honey, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, and black pepper.
- Step 2: Add chicken broth, chopped onion, sliced carrots, and sliced celery to the slow cooker.
- Step 3: Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until pork is fork-tender and easily shreds.
- Step 4: Remove pork, shred with two forks, discarding large fat pieces, and return to slow cooker.
- Step 5: Stir shredded pork to coat with sauce, then let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
