- 3 tablespoons Maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons Apple cider
- 1 teaspoon (minced) Fresh thyme
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: Pat 4 chicken breasts dry with paper towels, then season both sides with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Step 2: Add chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F, then transfer to a plate and set aside.
- Step 3: In the same skillet, whisk together 3 tablespoons maple syrup, 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, 2 tablespoons apple cider, and 1 teaspoon minced thyme. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 2 minutes until slightly thickened and fragrant.
