One-Pot Garlic Cherry Tomato Pasta

Ingredients
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves, minced garlic
- 1 cup, halved cherry tomatoes
- 1/4 cup, chopped fresh basil
- 1/2 cup pasta water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup, grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Step 1: Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add 12 oz spaghetti and cook for 8-10 minutes until al dente, then drain and reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
- Step 2: While the pasta cooks, heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 4 minced garlic cloves and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant, avoiding browning.
- Step 3: Add 1 cup halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet and cook for 3 minutes until they begin to soften and release juices.
- Step 4: Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with 1/2 cup reserved pasta water and 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil. Toss vigorously for 1 minute until sauce thickens and coats the pasta.
- Step 5: Season with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper, then serve immediately topped with 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese.
