Ingredients
- 14 oz firm tofu
- 2 tbsp white miso paste
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 2 green onions
Instructions
- Step 1: In a small bowl, whisk together 2 tbsp white miso paste, 1 tbsp rice vinegar, 1 tsp sesame oil, and 1/2 tbsp maple syrup until smooth.
- Step 2: Press 14 oz firm tofu to remove excess water, then cut into 1/2-inch cubes. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tofu cubes and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Remove tofu and set aside.
- Step 3: Pour the miso sauce into the skillet and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly, until thickened. Return the tofu to the skillet and toss to coat evenly.
- Step 4: Cook for 1 more minute, then transfer to a serving plate. Sprinkle with 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds and 2 thinly sliced green onions. Serve hot.
