Pan-Seared Tofu with Ginger and Sesame

Ingredients
- 14 oz (400g) Firm tofu
- 2 tbsp Sesame oil
- 1 tbsp, finely grated Fresh ginger
- 3 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 2 cloves, minced Garlic
- 3, thinly sliced Scallions
- 1 tsp, toasted Sesame seeds
Instructions
- Step 1: Press tofu for 30 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut into 1-inch cubes. Pat dry with paper towels.
- Step 2: Whisk together 2 tbsp sesame oil, 1 tbsp grated ginger, 3 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp rice vinegar, 1 tbsp honey, and 2 minced garlic cloves in a bowl.
- Step 3: Heat 1 tbsp of the glaze mixture in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add tofu in a single layer and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
- Step 4: Pour remaining glaze over tofu, cook for 1 more minute while stirring to coat. Remove from heat and sprinkle with 3 sliced scallions and 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds.
