Rice Bean Patties with Spiced Lentil Dip

Ingredients
- 1 cup, drained cooked rice beans
- 1/2 cup rice flour
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/4 cup, finely chopped cilantro
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup, cooked red lentils
- 1/4 cup plain yogurt
- 1/4 tsp cumin powder
- 1/4 tsp garam masala
- to taste salt
Instructions
- Step 1: In a bowl, combine 1 cup drained cooked rice beans, 1/2 cup rice flour, 1 tsp cumin powder, 1/2 tsp chili powder, and 1/4 cup chopped cilantro. Mix until a cohesive dough forms.
- Step 2: Divide the dough into 8 portions and shape each into a 1-inch thick patty.
- Step 3: Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add 4 patties and cook for 4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
- Step 4: For the dip, mash 1/2 cup cooked red lentils until smooth in a small bowl.
- Step 5: Stir in 1/4 cup plain yogurt, 1/4 tsp cumin powder, 1/4 tsp garam masala, and salt to taste until well combined.
