Weekly Meal Plan Calendar

AislePrompt's meal plan is a 7-day calendar grid you can drag recipes onto. The app totals daily calories and macros, combines ingredients across the week into a single shopping list grouped by Instacart aisle, and removes anything you already have on the pantry shelf. Family members on a shared household see the same plan in real time.

Drag-and-drop weekly calendar

Open the catalog, drag any recipe onto Monday breakfast, Tuesday dinner, or any of the 21 meal slots. Swap a recipe and the day's calorie + macro totals re-render instantly. Lock favorite recipes to a recurring slot ("Taco Tuesday") so that when you ask the AI to suggest a new week, the locked slots stay in place and only the unlocked days get fresh suggestions.

Combined grocery list — one tap

Tap "Build shopping list" and AislePrompt walks the week's recipes, sums duplicate ingredients ("3 lemons across 4 recipes = 3 lemons"), normalizes units (oz / cups / grams), groups items by Instacart aisle, and hands the cart to Target, Walmart, Whole Foods, Costco, or your local grocer.

Pantry-aware list building

If you use the AislePrompt pantry tracker, the meal plan automatically subtracts items you already own. The more complete your pantry, the fewer items reach checkout — that is the difference between a planning tool and a shopping tool.

Family + dietary filters

Per-member dietary profiles (keto, gluten-free, dairy-free, halal, vegetarian, allergens) keep the AI honest when it suggests fillers. Families share one plan; everyone sees the same calendar and list across phones, tablets, and the web.

FAQ

Do I need an account to use the meal plan?

No. Guest mode keeps your meal plan in browser localStorage. Sign up or log in only if you want family sharing or multi-device sync.

Can I generate a meal plan automatically from a prompt?

Yes. Tell the AI "plan 5 keto dinners under 30 minutes for 2 people" and it fills the calendar. You can swap, lock, or delete any slot.

Does the calendar handle leftovers?

Yes. Mark any slot as "leftover from " and the grocery list skips its ingredients. The macro totals still reflect the meal eaten.

Which retailers can the grocery list check out at?

Anywhere Instacart serves: Target, Walmart, Whole Foods, Costco, Publix, Wegmans, Aldi, and most regional US chains.

Can I share the meal plan with my partner or family?

Yes. Household members on a shared profile see the same calendar and shopping list in real time across all their devices. Dietary profiles per member keep the AI from suggesting meals that conflict with an individual restriction.

Can I reuse a plan from a previous week?

Yes. Open a past week in the calendar history and tap "Copy to this week." All locked slots carry over; unlocked slots can then be refreshed with new AI suggestions.
