Baked Spaghetti and Meat Sauce with Parmesan Crust

Ingredients
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium, diced onion
- 3 cloves, minced garlic
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F. Cook 12 oz spaghetti according to package directions until al dente, then drain. In a skillet, brown 1 lb ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking into small pieces. Add 1 diced medium onion and 3 minced garlic cloves; cook 5 minutes until onion is translucent.
- Step 2: Stir in 2 cups tomato sauce, 1/4 cup tomato paste, 1 tsp dried oregano, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp black pepper. Simmer 10 minutes. Add drained spaghetti and toss to coat.
- Step 3: Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish. Mix 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese with 2 tbsp melted butter and 1 tbsp olive oil. Sprinkle evenly over spaghetti. Bake 20-25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
