Serves 4.
Ingredients
- 4 (1-inch thick) pork chops
- 1/2 cup apple cider
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: Pat pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and cinnamon.
- Step 2: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add pork chops and sear for 4 minutes per side until golden brown and meat is opaque at the edges.
- Step 3: Reduce heat to medium-low, pour in apple cider and honey, scraping up any browned bits from the pan. Add Dijon mustard and stir to combine.
- Step 4: Simmer uncovered for 8-10 minutes, basting chops occasionally with the sauce, until internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) and sauce has reduced to a syrupy consistency that coats the back of a spoon.
- Step 5: Transfer chops to a plate and let rest for 5 minutes. Spoon remaining sauce over the top and serve immediately with roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes.
