Harissa-Roasted Chickpeas with Citrus
Crispy roasted chickpeas tossed in smoky harissa and bright orange zest, ideal as a snack or salad topper.

Ingredients
- 15 oz can chickpeas
- 2 tbsp harissa paste
- 1 orange
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F. Drain and rinse 15 oz can chickpeas thoroughly, then pat completely dry with a clean towel.
- Step 2: In a bowl, toss dried chickpeas with 1 tbsp olive oil, 2 tbsp harissa paste, 1/2 tsp cumin, and 1/2 tsp sea salt until evenly coated.
- Step 3: Spread chickpeas in a single layer on a baking sheet and roast for 25-30 minutes, shaking the pan every 10 minutes, until golden brown and crisp.
- Step 4: While roasting, zest 1 orange and set aside. Once chickpeas are done, toss them while hot with 1 tsp orange zest and serve immediately.
