  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place cod fillets on a large sheet pan, drizzle with 1 tbsp olive oil, and season with 1/4 tsp salt and 1/8 tsp black pepper on both sides.
  2. Step 2: Arrange 2 lemon slices on top of each fillet, then scatter 2 minced garlic cloves, 1/4 cup chopped dill, and 1/4 cup chopped parsley over the top.
  3. Step 3: Place 1 lb trimmed asparagus pieces around the cod on the sheet pan.
  4. Step 4: Bake for 12-15 minutes until cod is opaque and flakes easily with a fork, and asparagus is tender-crisp.
  5. Step 5: Remove from oven and let rest for 2 minutes before serving.
