Honey-Glazed Char Siu Pork

- 1 lb (450g), cut into 1-inch cubes Pork shoulder
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 3 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Rice wine
- 2 cloves Minced garlic
- 1 tsp Sesame oil
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Five-spice powder
- 1 tbsp Cornstarch
Instructions
- Step 1: In a bowl, combine 2 tbsp honey, 3 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp rice wine, 2 minced garlic cloves, 1 tsp sesame oil, 1 tsp sugar, and 1/2 tsp five-spice powder; mix until sugar dissolves.
- Step 2: Add 1 lb pork shoulder cubes and toss to coat evenly. Marinate for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Step 3: In a separate bowl, mix 1 tbsp cornstarch with 2 tbsp water to create a slurry.
- Step 4: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the marinated pork. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned on all sides.
- Step 5: Pour in the cornstarch slurry and stir constantly until the sauce thickens and coats the pork evenly, about 2 minutes.
- Step 6: Continue cooking for 3-4 minutes until the pork is cooked through and the sauce is glossy and sticky.
