Lemon-Garlic Chicken Thighs with Steamed Green Beans

Ingredients
- 4 (6 oz) chicken thighs
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 lemon
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 lb green beans
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: Pat 4 chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season with 1/4 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper.
- Step 2: Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Step 3: Place chicken skin-side down in skillet and cook for 8 minutes until golden brown.
- Step 4: Flip chicken and cook for 5 more minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Step 5: Remove chicken and set aside. Add 2 minced garlic cloves to skillet and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Step 6: Pour in 2 tbsp lemon juice (from 1 lemon) and 1/4 cup chicken broth, scraping browned bits from skillet.
- Step 7: Simmer for 2 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
- Step 8: Add 1 lb trimmed green beans to skillet and toss to coat. Cook for 6 minutes until tender-crisp.
