Instructions
- Step 1: Pat dry 2 salmon fillets and season skin and flesh sides with 3/4 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp black pepper. Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Step 2: Place salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes without moving until skin is crispy and golden. Flip and cook for an additional 2 minutes until fish is just cooked through.
- Step 3: While salmon cooks, whisk together 3 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp freshly squeezed orange juice, 1 tbsp honey, and 1 tbsp minced fresh ginger in a small bowl.
- Step 4: Remove salmon from skillet and set aside. Pour the citrus soy mixture into the hot skillet and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the back of a spoon.
- Step 5: Return salmon to the skillet briefly, spooning the glaze over each fillet to coat.
- Step 6: Plate the salmon and garnish with 2 thinly sliced green onions and 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds before serving.
