Pan-Seared Garlic and Thyme Chicken

Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless (1.5 lbs total) chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Step 1: Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season both sides with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper.
- Step 2: Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Step 3: Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Step 4: Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. Add 3 cloves minced garlic and 1 tbsp fresh thyme to the skillet, stirring for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Step 5: Return the chicken to the skillet, add 1 tbsp lemon juice, and cook for 1 more minute to coat the chicken in the garlic-thyme sauce.
