  1. Step 1: Pat salmon fillets dry and season with 1/4 tsp salt and 1/8 tsp black pepper. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking.
  2. Step 2: Place salmon skin-side down in skillet and cook for 6-7 minutes until skin is crispy and golden, then flip and cook for 3-4 minutes more until just opaque in the center.
  3. Step 3: Remove salmon from skillet and keep warm. Add 8 oz cherry tomatoes, 2 minced garlic cloves, and 1/4 tsp salt to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes until tomatoes burst and soften. Stir in 1 tbsp chopped dill, 1 tbsp butter, and lemon zest, then simmer for 1 minute until sauce thickens slightly. Spoon sauce over salmon and serve immediately with lemon slices.
